Are you looking to set up Keyman Insurance?

Do you wish to review an existing policy?

Do you wish to find out more information?

The cost of Keyman Insurance will depend upon the age of the life assured, state of health, lifestyle and family medical history. This is calculated together with term of the policy and the level of cover to be assured.

  • The age of the key person. The risk of their death during the term of a policy increases as they get older.
  • If the key person already has a severe health condition, the risk to the insurer is greater. Consequently, the premiums will be raised accordingly.
  • If the key person is a smoker, or if they regularly drink more alcohol than is recommended, the premiums will be raised, due to the greater risk of illness.
  • Lifestyle choices impact upon Key Person Insurance premiums. Thus, if the key person regularly engages in hazardous activities, this is likely to be reflected in the premiums.
  • If the key person’s immediate family members have suffered or died from a critical or hereditary illness, this will impact upon the cost of cover.
  • The length of the policy term, the amount of cover and whether you wish to include Critical Illness cover will impact upon the cost of cover.

Keyman Insurance is designed to provide funding to a business for the following, in the event of a key person suffering a critical illness or dying prematurely:

  • The recruitment and training of a replacement
  • Supplementing profit loss
  • Replacing lost income, as a result of declining confidence of creditors and suppliers
  • Replace lost income, as a result of the potential loss of customers
