How many years NI do I need for a full state pension?
Under the new State Pension rules you will usually need at least ten qualifying years on your National Insurance record to get any State Pension. You'll need 35 qualifying years to get the full new State Pension.
What is the benefit of a pension review?
What is the benefit of servicing your car every year? Making sure the brakes work, making sure the engine is running smoothly and efficiently for the best performance. A regular review ensures you are on track or identifies any shortfalls that need addressing.
How much is the UK state pension?
The full new State Pension is £179.60 per week. The actual amount you get depends on your National Insurance record. The only reasons the amount can be higher are if you have preserved benefits such as Additional State Pension.
Why should I use retirement cashflow modelling?

I don't see or hear from my adviser, is it worth switching?

If this service is not being provided, you could speak to your current adviser for an explanation, but you are free to seek an alternative adviser at any time.

We would need two responses from you to answer this question. 1) What are you spending now on living costs and leisure? 2) What are you likely to spend in retirement on living costs and leisure? Once you have these numbers, a strategy of saving and investment could be put in place to help reach your desired lifestyle in retirement.
I AM GETTING DIVORCED. HOW WILL THIS AFFECT MY PENSION?
Divorce is a complex area, and you should seek advice from a qualified adviser. Pension plans are typically included when assessing the assets of both parties in a divorce. A Pension Sharing Order could be applied to your pension, transferring ownership of some of your pension plan to your former partner.
